What Is Chiropractic Care?

We're glad you asked! Chiropractic care is a drug-free, non-surgical approach to healing and wellness. Chiropractic care restores health and prevents injury by improving the structural integrity of the body, primarily the spine. The brain communicates with the rest of the body via the spinal cord and nervous system. When functioning perfectly, this communication is uninterrupted, and the messages go to and from the brain without interference.

Chiropractic care focuses on the relationship of structure and function (as coordinated by the nervous system), and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of your health.  Qualified Chiropractors are professional practitioners, delivering long-term care at a fraction of the cost of drug treatments and surgery.

Addressing the Root of the Problem

The nervous system serves as the body's wiring. If this wiring is inhibited, the signal does not reach the intended body part, and illness may result. Such interferences can manifest anywhere along your spine. Pain in your arm or hand may actually be caused by a problem in your neck, where the nerves connecting to that hand originate. A qualified chiropractor can examine the spine for interferences and remove them through specific, gentle Chiropractic adjustments.

Conditions Treated

Sports Injuries ~ Auto Accidents ~ Work Related Injuries ~ Stress ~ Chronic Pain ~ Headaches ~ Arm/Hand Pain, numbness, tingling, weakness ~ Carpal Tunnel Syndrome ~ Leg/Foot/Sciatic Pain ~ Low back, SHoulder, Neck Pain/Stiffness ~ and any condition (structural or organic) caused by imbalances in the nervous, muscular, or skeletal systems

How it all Works

Evaluations include physical examination of the area of complaint as well as all areas having an influence on that area, X-rays (when necessary), and a Computerized Spinal Analysis (SCAN).

We specialize and focus on a complete program of care for each individual including Acute Care (Relief of your pain), Corrective Care (Correcting the chronic imbalances), and Wellness Care (Maintaining the correction and preventing future pain and imbalances).  Your program of care will be based entirely on the facts and professional evaluation of your examinations, x-rays, and initial treatment results.  With the source of your problem and the severity identified, a recommended course of action will be presented to you.  Our responsibility is to present you with the facts, describe your need for care, outline the possible results and/or consequences of your decision, and then support your choice.

You will be presented with a recommended course of action that will answer the questions “how long will it take” and “how much will it cost”.  However, there are many variables like age, lifestyle, keeping appointments, compliance with home exercises, etc that can affect the outcome of your case.  Fortunately, many of these are under your control.

Your program of care will be well rounded and include the following:

              1. Chiropractic Adjustments & Postural Correction

              2. Ergonomic and Lifestyle advice

              3. Personal Training & Exercise Rehab Instruction

              4. Dietary and Nutrition recommendations

              5. Life Coaching for stress reduction

We will monitor your improvement through daily evaluations and periodic computerized spinal analysis (SCAN) reports that will track your progress during the course of your care.  We will share the results with you and compare the new findings with the original so that we will know if you are progressing normally, slower, or faster than was initially expected.

Our recommendations are guided by the facts, not wishful thinking.  In those rare cases when a patient may not respond as expected, we will consult with other health care providers to bring in an even wider range of skills and experience to a difficult case.  If necessary, we will refer out to another health care provider that may be a better fit.  In short, the optimum recovery of your health is our primary concern.
